My art piece 'Proof of Existence' explores verifying digital identities.Verification is essential to access the digital world. The Checks NFT by Jack Butcher questions ownership,authorship and value through checkmarks,critiquing 'paying for verification'. This inspired my work questioning the meaning of digital verification.
I experimented with many prompts using Midjourney until finding the right style and tone. I used Photoshop to refine image and separate the individual elements using generative fill since I wanted to push the piece further with animation and sound to make immersive.
I wanted the piece to convey ascending to a plane above others when verified and to reflect on what verification truly means in a digital space. Just as Checks challenges ownership,my work questions digital verification permanence meaning in web3.
