Taken July 13, 2019, on a backpacking trip in the North Cascades.
After a night of car camping, we set out for a backpacking trip in a nearby fire lookout. Once we reached the summit, we witnessed our highly anticipated scene turn into a heavy rainstorm. After hours of huddling in the lookout, we were blessed with a short but wild break in the clouds. It created new atmospheric landscapes in peaks I hadn’t seen before. I live for moments like this. It always pays to go out when it rains.
