A sunrise on Mirror Lake in Lake Placid is truly a sight to behold. I love the lush smell of the Adirondack forest, the steam on the water from the morning sun, and the sounds of the birds and other cute little creatures starting their day.

If I'm overheard leaving the hotel room in the morning and the kids wake up - it's game over, or at least some serious point deductions for bad form. Because of this, planning ahead is key, since performing even simple tasks at 4:45 a.m. without coffee can prove next to impossible you're better off doing everything the night before."
