Scientists tussle with matter and search far and wide to explain certain phenomena, while mathematicians rely on the beauty of formulas and the simplicity in numbers. In the end, some things remain beyond our realm, and exists in the supernatural. The supernatural is proactive, generative and invisible. The supernatural moves with justice and mercy and love.
As ephemeral as hope usually is, humans practise various forms of rituals to hold onto hope - could be a respect for nature, or religion, or a belief in the spiritual concepts that uplift one's soul, despite "realities" that taunt and force people into straitjacketed living. The supernatural holds space for hope, so that hope and awe can continue to exist and evolve in people's hearts.
