I had planted some ranunculus bulbs with the expectation of having so many different colours to explore through the season but all I got was tones of red. That was fine with me because it gave me a chance to focus even closer on one distinct shape and colour of flower, and I was happy for the challenge. The beauty of flowers is that everyone single one is different - if one petal is turned a little differently, the photo can completely change. When I saw that little petal just hanging out on its own, I knew I needed to give it a solo.
