Reflection has a two-fold meaning for this Capture. My excitement to be a part of this space caused me to dive in head first continuously feeling behind and wanting to sprint to catch up. As I continue to venture through this new world of digital collections, I have reflected, and grown as an artist. This capture came during a darker period for myself, but there is a beauty to its darkness. The dark tones greatly contrast the light sky starting to shine though as the sun rises over Kaneohe. These bits of light reflect over the calm waters at their lowest point in the tide which allows the exposure of the reef off the shore. The tide can only rise from here. The sun is bringing its light to the nights sky. My light is starting to shine through. This moment was captured on the 23rd of June, 2021.
