During the process of creating the Don Quixote painting series, I set aside numerous works from the final selection for various reasons. Some were left unfinished, while others were altered. However, among all of them, there were three works that, despite being excluded from the series, remained especially significant to me. These works carried a tone different from the core body of the collection and possessed an independent identity and value of their own.
Perhaps what they all shared was this: in these works, I focused on the secondary characters of the narrative, and Don Quixote himself was not their central axis.
“Margins” is a small series that presents these three work.
