This artwork is a critic to how nude art and the actual society have chosen to deal with the very object of the artists work, the naked body.
In 2025 in order to "fight" the heritage and actual sexism that exist in our environment the explicit and the appeal to desire and sexuality has been removed from the agenda. It is considered distasteful for the very artists that deal with the feminine body.
Words that became thesaurus for fine nude art are "De-sexualized", Not Objectified, by my autorship: "Erotican't", "Art Compliant".
One could question that not objectify a woman is a good thing, and I cannot disagree. However the objectification is not tied directly to a sensual or erotic representation. Sexuality is a healthy characteristic of human kind. The objectification is due to the sexism mindset, which can only be approached by an educational perspective.
Hide the body, eliminate the EROS and restrict the woman to something that I call "Desire Free Architectural Design Woman" is in my very raw assessment the same as avoiding to deal with the problem through restricting the art expression. It is the worse objectification of all. It is censorship masked as fine art. It is accept that our society not being able to handle a nipple or a pussy is completely normal. It is accept the lowest level of sexual maturity and emotional intelligence as "just fine".
It is the delusion of our normality!
This 1/1 artwork is meant to increase the range and voice of this non-spoken characteristic of today's nude art.
From the creation process of this this original piece that was born the editions released a few days ago following the same context. The Editions called "The Stepford Wives - Perv Edition" were a prelude to this artwork.
This is art about art and it was made for the minds that embrace desire and the EROS as a natural beauty that enhances our senses and is to be praised and not hidden.
At last, I couldn't find better analogy to relate to the name of this art than the well known novel that has subsequently gave birth to a movie with the same name "The Stepford Wives" which are about a kind of repression, censorship and ignogance. However this is not mainly brought to society due to an intitutional imposition. It is an ignorant society that seems to be stapping back on it's sexual maturity and choosing to restrict it's own freedom for not being able to discuss, look or even think about the Eroticism without shame.
It also enlightens the reflections of scientists, philosophers and enthusiasts of human nature and knowledge which like to think that changes on the general social mindset and social advancements have a direction and this direction would be towards a positive improvement due to the access of information, but this is not quite the case. What current society tells us is that doesn't matter how psychology, psychoanalysis or cultures could be a well suited of all information needed to incentive conscientization, moral education and step up on maturity. Even in themes considered as unacceptable as sexism and sexual expression. Sometimes the process just do not ignite because the discomfort of stablished taboos speaks louder.
What makes me wonder: are sexism and sexual expression limitations really unacceptable? Or maybe it is unacceptable as long as we don't have to actually talk about it?
In order to give a little bit more scientific background I will refer to the famous Brazillian educator Paulo Freire and his definition about the conscientization process, or critical consciousness - it is an emancipatory process developed to help people critically understand their social reality and identify the oppressive forces shaping their lives. This process, rooted in adult education and activism, involves developing a deep awareness of power dynamics and social contradictions, which then empowers individuals to take action and work towards liberation.
However identify it is not enough. The willing to move towards liberation is needed to generate any personal and social impact.
