Far beyond the mountains there is a sea. Deep at the bottom lies the Dragon. No one knows how long he has lived there or how old he is.
But the grip of his claws does not loosen, and his armor does not become thinner. He lies curled around the largest and most beautiful pearl, and guards it.
And every time a brave warrior, who has come ashore to fight the Dragon and bring the Pearl to the world, loudly challenges him to a duel, swinging his sword and rattling his armor - but the surface of the sea remains unshaken.
Only once a year, at sunset, the water on the surface of the sea boils over, and the Dragon rises from his bed to show the pearl to the world and admire its beauty in the light of the setting sun.
