While the majority of my photography is about planning, research and capturing photographs that are unique... sometimes you are just in the right place at the right time when the most amazing conditions present themselves.
In 2013 we moved to Busselton, Western Australia, I set about exploring and photographing as many places as possible.
One of the places I went repeatedly for sunset was Yallingup, some sunsets were amazing, others were less colourful, but I kept going day after day, hoping to get something incredible.
One of the sunsets I went to photograph had kind of "fizzled" out, so I thought I'd pack up and leave, like the rest of the photographers had. Something inside me said "give it another few minutes, it might change", so I kept taking photos and as I did, the sky lit up in a way I've not experienced before.
This photo represents some significant meaning to me... keep at it, keep going after everyone else has gone home
