i exist in the interference. pause to introspect, i collapse the emotional wave function. somewhere between the blocks lies the truth. somewhere in the ether, the two of us are not opposed.

A diptych series stuck in a perpetual state of anti-correlated quantum entanglement, enforced via bespoke smart contract. The two generative pieces behave as entangled particles, where mining a block on the Ethereum blockchain causes their wave functions to collapse. The two on-chain artworks then reveal themselves as spin up or down, but always opposites to one another.
The outcome is random, with each possibility having a fifty percent probability before the block is mined. Therefore, each state is considered unknown between blocks, a paradoxical phenomenon further illustrated by clicking or tapping on the artworks.
Typically this quantum paradox is found to be confusing and spiritually dissonant, but I find it profoundly human & spiritually calming. The artistic goal is to illustrate these overlooked human aspects of quantum mechanics by linking them to the human condition, my emotional swings, and you and me as people in real life.
These two pieces live on tokens #1 & #2, but only #1 will ever be for sale. I, as the artist, will always own #2, creating a secondary entanglement between the collector of #1 and myself.
The artworks have no dependencies besides Ethereum and a standard web browser. The HTML, JS, and SVGs have no 3rd party dependencies and do not require an active internet connection to render in a browser.
