One of my favorite things about photography is finding and shooting the little corners of life that are rarely explored or captured. When traveling, it’s so easy to keep your eyes on the bigger picture of taking photos of stunning, planned-out locations. However, if you stop and look around occasionally, you can find incredibly beautiful moments that others might walk right by.
This photo was captured in the Dominican Republic in a quaint neighborhood that I explored one afternoon. A little yellow car, vibrant greens, blue sky, and the brown exterior of the home working together to make this scene burst with color. Aside from the colors, I really found beauty in the geometry of this scene. An architectural frame that felt timeless, yet modern that stopped me in my tracks and resulted in me capturing one of my all-time favorite photos.
