Walking NYC
An iconic landmark in NYC's Financial District, the Charging Bull is hard to miss. Long lines at the front and back to grab those snapshot memories for folks coming to see the sculpture created by Arturo Di Modica. Originally placed by the NYSE building in 1989 illegally by the artist, it was moved to its current location and remained due to its hit with tourists.
The bull is both a source of positive and negative, often becoming a symbol of capitalism. The bull has been subject to many acts of protest including having fake blood poured on it and its balls painted blue.
On the day of this capture the line for the back was 3x as long as the line for the front. Folks just want to grab the bull by the balls. I thought this couple was positioned perfectly, gazing into each other's eyes as they each held the bull in their hand.
