Hawaii is famous for beautiful beaches and big waves, as well as the dangerous shorebreaks that close out quickly on the reefs at the water’s edge. On a little unnamed beach on Oahu's North Shore, I found this angle to capture the color and detail of a secret wave.

He volunteers with several non-profits that focus on education, outreach, and ocean conservation. In particular, he is known for his passion for Hawaii's endangered wildlife: Hawaiian monk seals, Honu, humpback whales, and Laysan albatross, while working to ensure these species are around for future generations to experience.
