Is one's fate determined by where they were born?
A question popped into my mind when I saw this boy for the first time. I met him on one of my trips to Deohari Village, a very remote and small village in Himachal Pradesh, India.
I approached him and then saw his bright, determined eyes. Those bright eyes answered my question.
No, they don't. There is nothing that determines one's fate or future. Only one factor influences our fate, and that is ourselves, our hard work. Anyone determined enough to break free from their birth circumstances can do so. "Destiny" is merely a convenient excuse.
