Story:
Needle's Eye is one of many Yorkshire's finest folly, which you will be able to find in the middle of the woodlands near Rotherham, South Yorkshire. I visited this place many times and it's one of my favourite spot for weekend walks, it's also very popular spot amongst the dog walkers.
I came back here one night with my partner as I thought the design of the structure would create something intriguing. So, we have picked a night when the sky was clear and wasn't windy to go there but that night was extremely cold. We drove 40 minutes to get to the car park, the walk to the structure wasn't far. Once we got there, it was quite straight forward. I set up the camera and the frame I wanted, set the drone up, put the camera on timer, I just had to go stand next to my partner.
With plenty of failed attempts, there were some good ones. We only had around 25 minutes to shoot, as that's how long the battery of the drone will last for on a windy day. I had to go through 2 batteries until I was happy with the shot but after looking through the photos on my PC, and went through some editing and post processing, this piece was born.
