How do you get ready for date night? Do you have a special ritual? Daria does.
1. Candlelit bath.
She fills a bath. On the surface, float bubbles with jasmine and belladonna flowers.
2. Hair — Part 1
Daria wishes she could tame her hair more easily, but she can’t. So it has to be tackled in stages.
First, she dries it by summoning a howling wind.
3. Make-up
She applies eyeliner, eyeshadow and adds a little foundation to her colourless cheeks.
4. Hair — Part 2
She selects a strong ivory comb that she uses to break her hair into submission. Stroke-by-stroke, her hair begins to take shape.
4. Find something to wear.
Usually, something pretty in black.
6. Hair — Part 3
It’s time to put the finishing touches to her hair. She whistles for her two bat friends, and stylists, to come and weave her hair into a work of art.
7. Pre-drinks
Before Daria leaves, she pops into the cellar for a quick drink from her previous night’s date. Let’s hope tonight’s date has better manners!
