Nestled in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, Minnestimma Lake offers some of the most beautiful views of the iconic mountains of Banff National Park. Our alarm clocks rang out in the early autumn hours. We set off in the cold and dark, our headlamps illuminating the trail in front of us. Gaining elevation through the trees, we got brief glances of the peaks all around us.
An hour after setting off in the dark, we made it the lake as the morning sun spilled across the valley. I'd never seen anything like it before and couldn't believe my eyes. The memories of this morning are forever etched into my soul.
