“Teleportation was hailed as the scientific breakthrough that would change lives in the galaxy forever. The fundamental improvements to transportation were immeasurable and all planets in the Western Sector voted for widespread deployment of the technology. Sadly however, they failed catastrophically on the essential safety and security details. They left loopholes that made manipulation and hacking inevitable. The terrorists exploited these system weaknesses with devastating effect. No one will ever forget the day a flourishing, vibrant city was removed from the face of the planet and scattered across the surfaces of the scorching, uninhabitable Sun Rocks. No one survived.”
Part V of the collection was all about creating a futuristic and unforgiving desert landscape through a variety of photo manipulation techniques. Colour matching was the challenge with this. I wanted to create the sense of heat without overdoing the fire and orange glows.
