“Over a relatively short time, the surface of the planet became completely uninhabitable due to soaring temperatures and massive gravity fluctuations. At the time, the technology did not exist to transfer the population to another vacant planet, so the World Council invested in moving up above the clouds. Immense structures were built, their foundations penetrating deep into the scorched ground. Existence as a ground dwelling species was forever altered within only a few generations. Life above the intense heat, devastating storms and shifting magnetic fields was better but no one could escape the overwhelming guilt of our own destructive nature.”
I pushed limits with this, asking questions of my own ability to produce something that I am immensely proud of. I worked with architectural perspective techniques taught to me by my father and added a new level of detail using freehand drawing, textures, overlays and lighting.
